The Car Care Academy for Youth meets many of the requirements for Girl Scouts of America and Boy Scouts of America merit badges.
Girl Scouts of America Car Care Badge
To earn the Car Care Badge, a Scout must complete five steps pertaining to: 1) basic maintenance; 2) vehicle safety; 3) safe driving; 4) emergencies; 5) environmental concerns. The Car Care Academy program satisfies the requirements of Step 1 and may be expanded to satisfy the requirements of Step 2 and/or Step 4.
Boy Scouts of America Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge
To earn the Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge, a Scout must complete 12 steps covering topics which include safety, general maintenance, basic systems knowledge, tire basics and more. Step 12 requires Scouts to explore career options in the automotive industry.
