Engine Tune-Up Services

Help keep your car running longer with reliable tune-up services.

IS IT TIME FOR AN ENGINE TUNE-UP?

Decades ago, "tune-ups" typically referred to a set of maintenance services and adjustments, but vehicles today rarely refer to the historical ‘tune-up” since many of those services and adjustments are no longer applicable. Engine “tune-ups” today can include a wide range of maintenance services, from checking and replacing spark plugs and various filters to cleaning out the fuel system. Depending on the age and history of your vehicle, Firestone Complete Auto Care offers "tune-up" services that make sense for your needs. Generally, we recommend having the engine checked once a year or every 10,000 to 12,000 miles for routine maintenance. If you need more targeted repairs, our technicians will let you know.

DOES A TUNE-UP INCLUDE AN OIL CHANGE?

Our engine tune-up services don’t usually include an oil change, but you’re welcome to add an oil change on to the service appointment if your car is due for one. The experts at Firestone Complete Auto Care do routine oil changes every day. Our full-service oil change service includes a 19-point inspection of your vehicle as a whole to catch any obvious issues before they turn into a bigger problem. If you want a more thorough inspection, we recommend booking a Complete Vehicle Inspection to check for underlying vehicle issues.

HOW MUCH IS A TUNE-UP AND OIL CHANGE?

Since there are many different ways to define a modern tune-up, the cost will vary. The cost of a standard oil change will be added if you choose to book one for the same appointment. Routine maintenance, like an engine inspection, is an essential part of owning a vehicle and will help you save money in the long run by reducing the chance for extensive repairs. If you’re looking for a quote for engine "tune-up" services, the experts at Firestone Complete Auto Care would be happy to help.
